For this series, I explored abstract uses of lines to create appealing forms.
For this piece, I wanted to explore the use of bubble density to create form and shading. The strong contrast of colors in the orca allowed for a pleasing composition.
For this piece, I decided to push the idea of bubbles further than with the orca. The texture of the fiddler crab lent itself to the bubble format, but the lack of distinguishing colors presented a challenge.
In my final piece, I went back to the use of flowing lines but went for a more abstract composition of undulating shapes. Whereas the previous two were done with pen, this piece was done digitally.
