My photography focuses heavily on atmosphere, light, mood, and story. I look for compositions that portray strong contrasts, soft and ethereal lighting, and provoke a sense of wonder while suggesting a story without being obvious about it. Each image conveys slow, cyclic, yet deliberate movement - reminiscent of the changing of the seasons or the tides.
I also enjoy playing with the viewer's sense of depth by pushing the camera's depth of field. Large sweeping landscapes or distant focal points viewed through an up-close and tight space are a favorite of mine. I like the audience contemplatively asking, "How did I get here?", and "What happened next?" with each image.
